El Faro
General Information
Chef Jorge Pereiro has created a blend of local Mexican and Spanish flavors in the restaurant EL Faro – both on the menu and in the ambiance. The lighthouse motif on the outside of El Faro is followed inside in the bar and restaurant with a full maritime décor. The seafood entrées include not only locally popular offerings of fish and shellfish, but also Basque and Mediterranean flavors as well. Enjoy tapas in El Faro's cozy bar with a glass of wine before dinner, or have a demitasse with a liqueur afterwards. The salads and starters employ dried fruits, herbs and onions, special cheeses and olive oils, as well as squid, crab, shrimp and lobster. The seared tuna with clams and the haddock are popular main courses. Chef Pereiro has not neglected those who would like something other than seafood at El Faro, inviting them to try tempting main courses of lamb, veal, beef or poultry.
