The Hotel Romano Palace is located on Costera Miguel Aleman, the port's main avenue, in front of playa Condesa, in the famous golden zone, which is known for its excellent restaurants, stores and night clubs. The high-rise hotel has 21 stories, 18 of which are for the 270 guest rooms and suites. Originally built in 1974, the Romano Palace was completely renovated in 2004. Most of the guest rooms have views of Acapulco Bay. The theme and decor gives a nod to Italian renaissance design. There is a beach club on the Condesa Beach for guests. The hotel offers accommodations under an all-inclusive program, so that all meals, snacks, drinks and entertainment are included in the daily rate.

Services & Amenities: 

As an all-inclusive, the Romano Palace offers buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are three restaurants and two bars. Hotel staff organize entertainment and recreational activities. The hotel provides its guests with discount arrangements for day cruises and entry into several of the nearby dance clubs. On-site, the Roman Palace provides wireless Internet access, laundry and dry cleaning, room service, in-room child care, and several other amenities. Parking is free. In the lobby a travel desk can help with all sorts of transportation. There is a car rental desk as well, a gift shop, and a convenience shop. Business services (PC, printing, Internet, fax, translation, photocopies) are available. The Romano Palace also offers guests a picnic area with barbecue grill.

Rooms: 

The Romano Palace’s guest rooms were all remodeled in 2004 and redecorated in a Roman style. The balconies overlook the bay and the sea. Each room has a sitting area or parlor with a desk, and a kitchenette. The sleeping area has two double beds. There is an in-room safe. All rooms are air conditioned and outfitted with cable television and DVD/VCR players. Telephones are equipped with voice mail. The water used throughout the hotel is purified. Guest robes are provided. The rooms also have Internet access. Some of the baths have both tubs and showers. Rollaway beds or cribs are available upon request. Non-smoking rooms are available.

Dining & Drinks: 

The Neptune Buffet serves breakfasts and mid-day meals from 7 am to 2 pm. At night the music comes on, the drinks are served, and guests can take advantage of the dance floor. Caesar's Pasta serves a complete menu of Italian cuisine during high season. During the afternoon, the Romano Grill & Snacks offers guests a full range of light meals and snacks near the pool. The Romano Palace Pool Bar serves drinks from10 am on, up on the upper level of the pool area.

Activities: 

The concierge desk is glad to help guests plan their activities during their stay in Acapulco. Options outside the hotel include golf and tennis as well as water sports of all kinds, including scuba, snorkeling, water-skiing, fishing and yachting. Others may wish to take advantage of the many sightseeing options and children’s activities that Acapulco has to offer. Perhaps a shopping outing is in order. There are lots of shops, markets and malls within an easy walk of the Romano Palace. Even skydiving and horseback riding can be arranged, just by asking the concierge. The Romano Palace also offers its guests a beach club on the Condesa Beach, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. During the high season, the staff organizes special activities to stimulate and occupy the children while they are on a holiday. The Kids Club will offer games, activities and entertainment to children from 4 to 12. On weekends, the Romano Palace provides live musical entertainment in the lobby. The concierge desk will also be able to advise on Acapulco's active nightlife, offering discounts for enjoying the many bars and dance clubs in the area.

Meetings & Conventions: 

The Romano Palace’s special event space will accommodate from 60 to 250 persons, depending on the facilities used and the configuration. Business meetings are supported with audio-visual equipment. Planning staff are on hand to work out the details of setting up the space, whether it be a wedding, a congress of some kind, or just a small gathering. Catering and business center support is also provided. The Caesar Ballroom will seat 200 for a banquet or 250 for a reception. Smaller meeting rooms are also available.

Pools: 

Swimmers and sunbathers will enjoy the two pools of the Romano Palace. There is also a children’s splash pool and a hot tub. For those looking for saltwater, the beach club down at the shore can provide towels, loungers, shade, and beverages for guests from 9 to 5. The beach club requires reservations, which are obtained at the front desk of the hotel.

Some services and amenities are only offered during the high season. Be sure to inquire about this if making a reservation between May 1 and December 1.
