Pinito
Pinito (or little Pine Tree) is the name of a group of restaurants in Acapulco, specializing in ample portions of deliciously prepared meals in the Mexican style. Entrées are priced at about $75 pesos, and come with salad or spaghetti on the side. The house specialty is quail, but the "sábana Pinito" – a thin slice of beef covered with melted Manchego cheese – is a favorite. The "colchón" is a grilled chicken breast, which can be ordered plain or with the melted cheese as well. Their Caesar Salad, served with or without chicken, is ample and delicious. If you want anchovies, though, you will have to bring them with you. This Caesar comes simply with lots of parmesan cheese and croutons. Beers are inexpensive, especially when you buy them by the bucket. The waiters are attentive and very friendly. You can get in and out quickly, if you are in a hurry, but it is more relaxing to linger over a pleasant lunch or dinner.
