La Margarita
La Margarita is co-located with Su Casa Restaurant on a hill above the bay in Costa Azul. Unlike Su Casa, which is entirely an open-air restaurant, La Margarita is indoors, so it comes into its own during rainy season - roughly the six months between April 15 and October 15. Guests can choose from many Mexican recipes -- fish, beef and chicken cooked in mole, or as fajitas, or steamed. Ceviche is always abundant. Other popular and traditional appetizers, like queso fundido, are on the menu, always to be accompanied by one of the famous margaritas for which the restaurant was named. Owners Shelly and Angel Herrera oversee the purchasing of all ingredients, choosing only the freshest available. At La Margarita all aspects of the restaurant and carefully managed to provide the best in food preparation, presentation, and service.
