Zydeco Bar
Zydeco Bar offers a fun, new concept in Acapulco entertainment that brings together historic New Orleans and the carnaval fun of Mardi Gras. In the afternoons patrons can enjoy a genuine Cajun meal, which mixes French, Spanish and Italian influences. Established in 1973, Zydeco has spread franchises to Querétaro, Mexico City, Cuernavaca and several other locations, including Acapulco in 2007. At Zydeco you can try the gumbo and the prawns, just as in New Orleans.
There is also live jazz and blues music, either a piano or saxophone. The ambiance changes at night to lively dance music and a live band. The clientele is broad and diverse in nationality and age range. Don’t miss the keg beer or the margaritas made with seasonal tropical fruits. Reservations are not necessary, and there's no cover charge. On Sundays and Mondays, drinks are half price. Any day of the week, Zydeco is throwing a great party. Their motto, "Laissez les bons temps rouler" (Let the Good Times Roll!).
