The Playa Suites Acapulco is a Best Western Hotels property, offering luxurious, high-rise accommodations right on the beach of Acapulco Bay. All 250 rooms are suites, most with two double beds, and most with a full view of the bay. All accommodations at the Playa Suites have separate living and dining areas, and several have totally separate living and sleeping rooms. Twelve penthouse suites have two levels with two bedrooms and baths. The two towers of Playa Suites have 18 stories each, offering excellent views of Acapulco.
Hotel Information
The Playa Suites offers all the guest services and amenities of a first class hotel. The concierge desk is available to answer any guest need, and the reception area operates 24 hours a day. Parking is provided, room service (from 8a to 10p), laundry and dry cleaning, in-room child-care, shipping assistance, faxes, couriers, a travel desk, a shopping area, and a physician always on call. Amenities at the Playa Suites include the pool with a swim-up bar, a children’s pool, live entertainment, restaurants and lounges, and a hot tub.
Guests can chose between two double beds or one king-size bed. All suites are equipped with climate control air conditioning, bathrooms with shower and tub, satellite television, a balcony terrace and a partial ocean view. The Bay Suites have a full ocean view. Additional options include suites with a fully-outfitted kitchenette. The penthouse suites have two bedrooms and baths.
Las Gaviotas is Playa Suites’ main dining facility. It is an open-air restaurant with a modern construction of filaments that make it resemble a large gull. The cuisine is both Mexican and international, serving buffet-style for breakfast and dinner. El Morro is a restaurant and bar at Playa Suites, on the beach, and specializing in seafood. The restaurant serves lunch, and the bar serves drinks all day long. The Bahia Bar is a swim-up bar in the pool.
Just being in Acapulco, guests of the Playa Suites will have an enormous range of activities for sport, entertainment, shopping and sightseeing. In Acapulco’s “Golden Zone,” the Playa Suites is near many of the most active night spots and restaurants. It is well-positioned between three major shopping centers along the Costera Alemán. On the property, guests have the option to swim and sunbathe by the large pool or wander down to the beach, where the hotel provides lots of options for enjoying the water or just admiring the sunsets. During high season, the staff of the Playa Suites organizes the Kid’s Club, which is a special program of activities for guests between the ages of 6 and 14. The Kids Club offers games, pool aerobics, contests, fun parties, tours of the whole hotel, swimming lessons, and many other entertaining features.
The meetings and events team of Playa Suites is ready to organize events for guests, ranging from corporate conferences and presentations, to pool parties, baptisms, baby showers, 15-year celebrations, weddings, bachelor (and bachelorette) parties, birthdays, graduations and anniversary parties. The large meeting room can accommodate up to 250 persons. Adding the pool area for a private reception, the number goes up to 800.
One of Acapulco’s larger resort pools, the pool area of the Playa Suites is handy to the bar and restaurant and also offers ample room for quiet reading, relaxing and sunbathing.
