Located right in Acapulco’s Golden Zone at one end of the Condesa Beach area, the Torres Gemelas is a wise option for tourists looking for an up-scale experience close to restaurants and nightspots in the port city. It is about half an hour from the airport by car and just ten minutes from the major bus terminals.
Las Torres Gemelas is a condo-hotel, with two towers of 30 floors each, 12 suites to a floor. A large, resort-style swimming pool with sundecks and a children’s pool and play area overlooks the wide expanse of beach below.
Services include a beauty and barber shop, a 24-hour pharmacy and convenience store, a clothing and beachwear shop, safety deposit boxes at reception, medical assistance on call 24/7, valet parking, babysitting services, wireless Internet (in public areas), game room, computer center, exercise facility, and activities programs for the kids around the pool area, including games and crafts.
Rooms are equipped with in-room safes, iron and board (upon request), TV with cable or satellite, air conditioning, private balcony, kitchenette with appliances and settings for four persons, and a dining area. The standard room has a single and a double bed, plus a fold-out sofa bed. King size bedrooms are also available.
The Girasol Restaurant serves buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with both international and Mexican selections. Off the main pool area is the Burburjas snack bar, offering light meals and snacks as well as a complete poolside bar service. On Fridays they fire up the grills for chicken and meat dinners, and on Saturdays it is a fiesta of seafood dishes.
Large meeting rooms are available in several configurations for business and social events, including weddings and banquets. The capacity can vary from between 15 in the smaller room to 200 for cocktails in the Salón Miramar.
