Like its sister property, the Fiesta Americana, the Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco (formerly the Fiesta Inn) underwent a significant remodeling in 2007. While the Fiesta Americana caters mainly to vacationers, the Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco markets itself to business travelers who do not need all the amenities of a resort hotel, but do not want to give up altogether the pool and the beach. The Fiesta Inn does not neglect the vacationers and a travel desk can take care of booking all activities that someone on a holiday may wish to try. The Holiday Inn Resort has 220 rooms and suites on 15 floors. It has a bar and a restaurant, a pool and an exercise facility and a business center. The Holiday Inn Resort Acapulco is also equipped with the entire infrastructure required for large business meetings, conventions or special events.
Hotel Information
The Fiesta Inn provides both self-parking and valet parking (fee applies), airport transfers (fee applies), baby-sitting services in-room (fee applies), a 24-hour business center, complimentary Internet access, and purified water.
Rooms and suites are newly remodeled in a clean, modern style. Guests can choose between two double beds or one king size bed, and between the standard and superior rooms. Each has a balcony, while some have partial or full views of Acapulco’s bay. Amenities include flat-screen televisions with DVD player, minibar, coffee maker, hair dryer, air conditioning, direct dial telephone with voice mail, complimentary Internet access and an in-room safe. Baths are tiled in marble and have combination tubs and showers.
Café La Fiesta serves three meals a day. Breakfast is either by menu or buffet, and features Mexican specialties. Lunch and dinner can be light snacks or full, gourmet meals of grilled steak, poultry or fish. A full menu of traditional Mexican dishes is also offered. (Daily, 6:30a-11:30p). The Lobby Bar not only serves drinks, but also has a menu of snacks and appetizers. It is open from 10 am to 8 pm daily.
Rising up from the beach to the Costera Alemán in Acapulco's "Golden Zone," the Fiesta Inn is strategically located between downtown and the airport. It is convenient to the may bars, clubs, eateries and shops of the Condesa Beach. The Fiesta Kids’ Club is operated by trained employees for the entertainment of children from 5 to 12 with crafts, games, movies and pool play. Adults can take advantage of the pool, the gardens and sundeck, the beach, the fitness center and the restaurant. A special desk in the lobby is staffed with agents who can take care of travel arrangements and provide information and bookings on many local activities and tours.
A fitness center with the latest in exercise equipment and weights is open for guests. TV monitors are provided.
The concierge can make a tee time for guests of the Fiesta Inn at the nearby Acapulco Golf Club (municipal nine-hole course) or at one of the championship courses farther away.
The Fiesta Inn has been remodeled specifically to make it an excellent venue for business meetings, shows, conventions and special events. Meeting planners on staff will assist with laying out the configuration and traffic flow, the setup and take-down schedule, event hosts and hostesses, audio-visual needs, banquet catering, decorations, and even entertainment. The venues available include a “Gran Salon” of almost 1500 square feet and five smaller meeting rooms. Singly or in combination, this space can accommodate up to 500 attendees, depending, of course on the configuration required.
The pool at the Fiesta Inn is surrounded by a sundeck and gardens. It is on the lower level of the hotel, and has access to the public beach just beyond.
The Fiesta Group has on-staff wedding planners who can work with the bridal couple and their families to organize the big event, and all the smaller events leading up to it. The large event space at the Fiesta Inn is very suitable for combining the elegance of a wedding with the fun of the pool and beach, in a celebration of up to 400 invitees.
