The Crowne Plaza is an imposing, 27-story modern structure designed to invoke the image of an ancient Aztecan pyramid. The tower is recognizable from any point on the beach of Acapulco’s bay. All of the 583 guest rooms and suites at the Crowne Plaza have full or partial ocean views. The Crowne Plaza is located on one of the world’s most renowned beaches, in the middle of Acapulco's "Golden Zone.

Amenities at the Crowne Plaza Acapulco include free self-parking, available valet parking (fee applies), daily housekeeping and same day laundry and dry cleaning services. In the lobby a guest will find help with travel arrangements, airlines, tours and concierge services (reservations and activities). There is also a newsstand, a gift shop and a convenience store. During high season, the Kids’ Club operates from 10a to 6p, entertaining children with aquatic fun and arts and crafts. Baby-sitting services can also be arranged through the concierge (additional fees apply). The Crowne Plaza Acapulco also offers guests a full range of business services in a center that is attended from 9 to 6 daily. Copies, faxes, email and Internet access, use of a computer, printing and secretarial support are all available. High-speed wireless Internet access runs throughout all public areas of the Crowne Plaza Acapulco (fee applies). Through the concierge desk guests can take advantage of a grocery shopping service.
The Crowne Plaza offers its guests three different levels of accommodation: Standard, Executive Club, and Suite. Standard rooms come with a choice of king-size bed or two double beds. Each room has climate-control air conditioning, an electric-lock safe, a business center, a complimentary breakfast buffet, valet service, morning paper, cable and satellite television in color with premium cable and movies, a CD player, mini-bar, coffee-maker, wireless Internet access (and dial-up), telephone with voice mail, full baths (with tub and shower), and hair dryer. Cribs and connecting rooms are available on request. All rooms at the Crowne Plaza are non-smoking.
Many guests of the Crowne Plaza prefer to take advantage of room service (7a-11p) and eat from the privacy of their own balcony, overlooking the water. The main restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Acapulco is Los Caracoles, situated by the main pool, and offering both buffet and a la carte choices from a wide range of international dishes. (Open for three meals daily). Los Arcos is fine dining in a Mexican Tradition. Reservations are required. I Pagliacci is also a fine dining restaurant on the lobby level of the Crowne Plaza Acapulco. The cuisine is northern Italian and continental. (No children under 13; reservations are required). Nude at the Beach serves lunch by the beach, and specializes in seafood. The Crowne Plaza Acapulco offers several bars and lounges. By the main lobby, the Lobby Bar hosts live music and dancing in the evenings from 9p-1a. Coco's Bar is down by the pool and the beach (11a-6p). The Oasis Pool Bar on the third floor is a quiet refuge for adults only. (10a-6p).
Nearby the hotel, visitors to Acapulco will find several shopping malls and other shops. The International Convention Center is just a few minutes down the Costera, and the CICI Water Park lies just beyond it. The downtown pier, from which evening cruises depart, is just a few minutes down the Costera in the other direction. The Crowne Plaza Acapulco is in the middle of Acapulco’s most active district for night life, including several dance clubs, bars, restaurants, and other activities.
The Crowne Plaza provides a fully-equipped exercise facility and a court for indoor soccer and other sports.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel offers several meeting and event rooms with a capacity of up to 1000 people (depending on configuration) in nearly 13,000 square feet (1200 square meters) of space. This includes pre-function space for up to 14 exhibit booths. The meeting planning staff at the Crowne Plaza is trained to arrange all the details including parking and traffic flow, hosting, food and beverage, the latest in audio-visual equipment, decorations, entertainment, and set-up. Group and event packages are available.
The pool at the Crown Plaza Acapulco is a large, resort-type pool with a sun deck, set within tropical landscaping and having a view of the ocean. Guests can swim-up to the bar and enjoy drinks and snacks all afternoon.
