Hotel Caleta
At the Hotel Caleta a guest may choose between an all-inclusive plan or an accommodation-only plan. The hotel is in the traditional zone of Old Acapulco, on a cliff overlooking the very active and family-friendly Caleta Beach. In its early days -- the 1950's – the Hotel Caleta hosted many of Hollywood’s most famous stars. The Hotel has since undergone substantial renovation and a period of timeshare development, and now has re-emerged as the grand old hotel above Caleta Beach. The Hotel Caleta offers 255 rooms on nine floors and an exclusive stretch of beautiful beach.

The hotel offers its guests as part of the accommodation free parking, child-care services (extra fee applies), laundry services and a house physician on call. In the lobby guests will find a tour desk, a car-rental outlet, and various shops. A full complement of business services are available as well.
The rooms of the Hotel Caleta surround a glass-roofed atrium in a central courtyard, landscaped with tropical vegetation. Each room is large and comfortable, with a lot of closet space and a desk for those who need to do a bit of work. The two beds are queen-sized, with firm mattresses. Amenities include in-room safes, television with cable, direct dial telephone, climate control air conditioning and ceiling fan. Each room has its own balcony, most with ocean views. Some balcony terraces are private, while others share a balcony with a neighboring room.
The hotel’s restaurant provides a wide variety of international dishes, served on a broad terrace with an inspiring view of Acapulco's most beautiful beaches. The restaurant serves mainly in buffet style, three meals per day. Additionally, the Hotel Caleta provides its guests three bars: the Turquesa, Mangos, and Miramar.
New arrivals should first walk through the beautiful and expansive gardens, which lead down, in a cascade of terraces, to the restaurant and bars, pools, and ultimately, the private beach. At the boat dock, scuba lessons and all aquatic sports can be arranged. Besides all the beach activities and the opportunities for fun and relaxation by the two adult pools, the resort organizes evening entertainment and special theme nights that coordinate with the offerings of the bars and restaurant. The Hotel Caleta is found in the heart of Acapulco’s historic section, offering many opportunities for fine dining, historic sightseeing, and shopping, especially typical Mexican folk art. The hotel provides its guests with discount arrangements at local dance clubs, restaurants, bars and the Cici Water Park, as well as for yacht rides and other attractions throughout the port.
The hotel offers a squash court as well as a court for volley ball or beach soccer. There is a complete fitness center for aerobic workouts and weight training and a hot tub.
The Hotel Caleta provides two large rooms for special events and functions, with a combined capacity of up to 300 persons. The terrace outside this area, which looks out to the sea, affords room for receptions of up to 1000 persons. The necessary support of audio-visual equipment, catering, decoration, set-up and hosting is all available from the meeting planning staff.
Part of the fun of staying at the Hotel Caleta is the choice of two, large, resort-style pools – one with fresh water, and the other with saltwater. A children’s pool is also provided nearby.
